Last May, collaborative lawyers in Dallas spent an afternoon with some visitors from Pakistan discussing non-adversarial approaches to dispute resolution. A month later one of the Dallas lawyers was surprised by an e-mail describing how the ideas that were shared the month before were put into practice to settle a long standing dispute between two warring tribes in Pakistan.
